Just Start is a free 30-day creature design challenge built to fix that. Not by giving you a list of prompts and leaving you to figure it out, but by teaching you how to think like a designer while you draw.

It's structured in four phases:

• Phase 1 (Days 1–7) removes the friction between you and the page. These are fast, low-stakes prompts designed to get you moving before your brain has time to overthink it.
• Phase 2 (Days 8–15) builds your visual vocabulary. Shape, texture, silhouette, contrast. You'll work with constraints that force you to make intentional decisions.
• Phase 3 (Days 16–23) adds meaning to the forms you're developing. Where does this creature live? What does it eat? What is it afraid of? Function creates design direction.
• Phase 4 (Days 24–30) is about finishing something on purpose. Taking one creature all the way from rough sketch to name, world, and origin.

By the end, the goal isn't a folder full of drawings. It's a process you can repeat.
